Intentional? or Unintentional? That is the ?…

Intentional cover

I know this has to stop. Something has to give. A person cannot die of a broken heart. Believe me, I know. I’ve been waiting—and it’s just not happening. What would you do in the face of the ultimate betrayal? This is the question facing the characters in MK Harkins’s riveting debut novel, Intentional. They will soon learn, however, that when love is involved, nothing is ever quite as it seems. Mattie and Jeremy are engaged to be married and looking forward to a lifetime of love. It all crumbles away, however, when Mattie comes across evidence of a massive betrayal. Mattie flees to Washington in an attempt to start a new life and meets Cade, a tattooed engineer by day and musician by night. Their mutual attraction enflames Mattie, even as her heart still aches for her former fiancé. Just when it appears that Mattie may have found another stab at happiness, her past comes rushing back. As events unfold, it becomes clear to Mattie that things in her past may not have been quite what they seemed. Will Mattie ever learn the truth behind what really happened? And if she does, could it mean a new beginning with Jeremy? Readers will instantly be swept up in the saga of love and heartbreak that unfolds. Offering a rarely-before-seen glimpse into the heart and mind of a romantic villain, audiences will find a welcome reprieve from the typical romance novel.

Casey’s Thoughts ❤

Intentional or Unintentional?  That is the question.  After being overwhelmed with a million books on my TBR list, releasing my debut novel (No Turing Back- Full Circle #1,) writing reviews, and just dealing with life.  I FINALLY was able to read Intentional this week.  YAY!!!!!!!!! **Happy dancing!**  Here are my thoughts!

This book is exactly what I needed!  An easy ready with a great storyline, twists & turns, and characters that you will <3!  Intentional is about having people in your life, and how their choices impact one another.  Mattie is a girl who has lost her parents, lost someone she loves, and dang if it doesn’t happen again!  But her best friend, Sarah, has been their for her since they were little.

Overall, I loved the fact that this book was an easy read.  The only problem I had was that sometimes I got confused with the dates going back and forth… but for me that is minor.  It didn’t effect my thoughts on the book and how much I enjoyed it.

Now, here’s where this story made an impact on me…

Personally, from the beginning I ❤ Mattie.  Something about her personality, outlook on life, and how she deals with the cards she is dealt made me ❤ her!  Sarah, I just didn’t like her BFF.  I felt like she was very selfish, but who am I to judge?  Jeremy… oh my so perfect is he!  Cade stole my ❤ 100% because he is the bigger man in my opinion!

This book felt very real to me.  The storyline could happen, and dealing with a specific population of people every day in my full time job… I see little aspects of it all the time!  Here is where I’m going to be vague because for you to have a clue what I’m talking about you have to READ Intentional by MK Harkins!  You will not be disappointed… well, I was a little but in the ending.  But it’s all good because there is a book #2, and I’m hoping for happily ever after for my favorite guy in the story 😉

Meet MK Harkins

I have always been a voracious reader. After hitting a dry spell of reading material, I decided to write the kind of book I would like to read. This resulted in the creation of my debut novel, Intentional.

I am currently working on a sequel based on the life of one of Intentional’s supporting characters.

When I’m not writing novels, I enjoy traveling the world, rain, watching movies and reading (!)

I also run my own business in my current hometown of Mercer Island, Washington.
