#tbt Miss Me Not @AuthorTiffany

This #tbt goes way back to January 2013!

Have you ever made a pact with a friend? In Miss Me Not by Tiffany King, that is exactly what happens.

Madison and her friend James are loners. They make a pact to end their lives because no one will miss them. Life will go on like they were never there. That is until another classmate beats them to it. Now what will they decide… Life or death?

When I first began this book, I was totally blown away with the suicide of classmate Mitch as well as Madison’s resentment for church. I didn’t know if I could read it, especially learning about the pact. Even with that on my mind I had to find out what happened next. I had to find out if they went threw with it!

Madison is a loner for many reasons, but I believe mostly due to her mother. Lets just say I have a few choice words for her! Her story is one of a very independent, young lady. She seems to have accepted her life, consequences for her actions, and feels that death would be better than living.

This book pulled at my heart. As a mother, I wanted to take her as my own. I wanted to know why she was never put first. Why her family as a whole didn’t operate as a family? What made her want to end her life, and why she had lived in the “shadows.”

Miss Me Not isn’t a book about suicide. It’s a book about choices. We all have skeletons in the closet no matter how big or small, it’s what we do with them when we free ourselves that matters most. This book is at the top of my must read list. I give it 5 stars if not more. I honestly don’t know if I can put my feelings in words. The only comment I can make is when life is chosen you can change the outcome, write your own story. If you choose death, you leave an open book for other to write!

Forever and Almost Always is LIVE!

ForeverandAlmostAlways_ReleaseBanner (1)

What do you do when the one person you have always wanted, you can almost never have?

We found each other by chance and it was perfect, easy and everything I could have asked for. Our love was one for the books. When he moved next door, my entire world flipped upside down and inside out, but it was the best feeling I had ever experienced. Until the time came to choose between him and my family. I was young and in love, but in the end, I chose my family. I’ve regretted that decision since the day I made it. Now fate has given me a second chance with the one person I knew I was always supposed to be with. But this time so much more was standing in our way.

Can I choose him over the life I’ve come to know?

Will he be able to forgive me and give us a second chance? I

s true love really enough to conquer everything standing in our way?

Sometimes the hardest decisions in life, are the most liberating, I just hope that this time I made the right one.

Charley decides to live her college career to the fullest. She finds a great group of friends, joins the swim team, and meets a guy named Joe. He’s got eyes that make ya wanna melt!

At college, she encounters a new problem. Charley has been away from home for only forty-eight hours before she breaks the two promises she made to herself. Will she be able to overcome her past? A Review of Pierced Love by TH Synder

Zar Evans is not your typical high school senior; in fact she is anything by normal. Dressing to the trendiest Goth fashion, Zar wears nothing but black from head to toe. Not that this warrants unwanted attention, but she is also top in her class and is looking at a full academic scholarship to Iowa State in the fall.

Loudon Clarke is an all star athlete. He plays three varsity sports and has the world in his hands. Except for one thing; Loudon is failing majority of his subjects. He is about to be suspended from the basketball team risking his athletic scholarship.

Zar and Loudon would normally never cross paths, until these two are brought together when Zar’s brother proposes to Loudon’s sister. With an upcoming wedding and a lot of planning Zar and Loudon are stuck with one another regardless of their differences.

Zar has hidden behind the pain she deals with on a daily basis for years. Loudon has never had to feel pain nor the ignorance of his peers. Can opposites really bring these two together or will they be pulled even further apart.

Only one thing is for sure, it is impossible to fight the connection of pierced love when one is willing to change for happiness.

Chelly’s Thoughts ❤

How do you pull yourself out of the darkness when that’s the only place you feel safe?  For 5 years, Zar Evans has been living through hell.  She is notoriously known by all of her classmates as the freak, but she tries hard to keep that from her family, despite the panic attacks that are getting worse.  She can’t let them know the pain that she goes through on a daily basis, it will crush them.  She’s different from from her jock older brother and popular younger sister…that used to be her until that day.  The day that changed everything.  Now she dresses in her black clothes, keeps herself surrounded in the darkness, keeps her nose in the books, and tries her best to go unnoticed and just make it through this last year.  One more year of the torture and she’ll be free to start over at Iowa State, in a new town where no one knows her.

Loudon is the popular jock from from the rival high school an hour away, and when he runs into the mysterious girl at the pizza parlor, he can’t get her out of his head.  Fate is on their side when she shows up at his house not long after.  Turns out Zar’s brother and Loudon’s sister are engaged.  When Loudon asks Zar to go to a party with him, she thinks this is her chance, no one will know who she is, but no matter where she goes, she can’t get away.  She thinks for sure she’s scared Loudon away, and there’s no point in trying to have a relationship with him because of her problems, but he won’t give up on her.  She’s different from all of the other girls, and he has to know her.  Is it possible that he sees the real Zar and not the freak everyone else sees?  Can Loudon bring Zar out of the dark and into his light?  With Loudon’s strength, can she overcome the fear and anxiety?

This is a great story for young adults that touches on some tough subjects, mainly bullying.  My heart broke for Zar and the pain and cruelty she faced alone, but I loved watching her grow and overcome the issues she’s had on her quest to find true happiness.  In the end I was extremely proud of her, as well as Loudon for sticking with her.  T. H. Snyder does a great job of helping you connect with the characters and really feel what they are going through.  I absolutely loved it!

Sometimes love burns so hot in your veins that it consumes

all rational thought.

That’s why Brock and I never had a chance.  I had to start my life over. College was my

chance to become someone new. I changed everything about myself to fit in, but

one person saw through my facade.

The attraction between Abel and I was undeniable, but I

still hadn’t healed from the painful secret I carried around with me. Abel

struggled to get me to face my past in order to move forward. In doing so, he

revealed a secret of his own; one that changed everything I thought I knew.

A secret that would bring Brock back into my life and force

me to face the truth of what really happened the day I lost him.

Chelly’s Thoughts <3:

WTF did I just read?  I’m still trying to figure that out, but I’m sure it’ll require another read through to thoroughly understand it.  Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad…it was that good!  And completely mind blowing!

Delilah (or Lie, as she prefers to be called) has had a tough life.  Being the product of rape, she was never wanted, and her mom made sure she knew that.  She was bullied throughout her life in school and always felt alone, until she ends up in a group home and meets Brock.  Brock has his own problems, but he takes Delilah under his wing and for the first time in her life, she feels safe and protected.  He promises her forever, but he broke his promise and now Delilah is left with no one…

After moving from Mississippi to Orlando for college, Delilah is living up to her nickname.  She is living a lie, hiding under the façade of the blonde party girl, and refusing to let anyone in on her past.  After going to a party with Trish, her super-hot, super-shallow, trashy roommate, she meets Abel, and suspects he’s living the same lie as she.  He sees through her mask, and Lie thinks she sees through his, but with his hot and cold personality, she can’t be too sure.  The attraction between the two is undeniable, but is Abel truly the nice guy he sometimes seems to be, or the asshole that inevitably surfaces?  He’s got his own secrets, but will he ever open up?  Will Lie ever trust him with her own?

I was drawn in by this story from the beginning, eager to find out the story of Brock and Delilah, then Abel comes in from left field.  I didn’t know which one was the good guy and I had so many questions, but the only way to find out was to keep reading.  I both loved and hated each of them at some point, and I felt sorry for the life Delilah had been dealt, but she made a few no-so-smart decisions that made me not like her at times, too.  We finally get the full truth, then comes the curve ball…WOW!  That’s all I can say.  Major props to Teresa Mummert!  I never in a million years saw that coming in the end and honestly, I’m still a little bit confused.  I still have a few questions left unanswered, but I’m sure another read-through will help me understand a little better.  Teresa Mummert is one of my favorite authors and Perfect Lie did not disappoint…I will continue to devour anything she puts out!

Author Bio:

Teresa Mummert

“I was a Russian spy at the ripe age of thirteen, given my uncanny ability to tell if someone was lying ( I also read fortunes on the weekends). By sixteen I had become too much of a handful for the Lethal Intelligence Ensemble (L.I.E.). I was quickly exiled to the south of France where I worked with wayward elephants in the Circus of Roaming Animals and People (C.R.A.P.). I was able to make ends meet by selling my organs on the black market for pocket change and beer money. At the age of twenty three I decided to expand my horizons and become a blackjack dealer in Ireland. I loved the family atmosphere at Barney’s Underground Liquor Lounge (B.U.L.L.). People couldn’t resist the allure of Liquor up front and poker in the rear. Eventually I became tired of the rear and headed off to the United States to try my hand at tall tales. That is what brings us here today. If you have a moment I’d like to tell you a story.

(This bio is not to be taken seriously under any circumstance.)

Teresa Mummert is an army wife and mother whose passion in life is writing. She is the author of the New York Times and USA Todaybestselling novels White Trash Beautiful and Suicide Note. Born in Pennsylvania, she lived a small town life before following her husband’s military career to Louisiana and Georgia. Check out her website for samples and updates! TeresaMummert.com”

Cover Reveal: Damaged by Nina D’Angelo

Before Stephanie Carovella had nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, she was damaged.

Stephanie Carovella has been running from her past all her life. The survivor of a brutal attack, which left her best friend dead, she has carefully built a protective wall around herself, but she knows sooner or later her past is going to catch up with her. It’s why she doesn’t want to fall in love. It’s why she doesn’t want to let anyone get too close.

Dominic Delaney works hard and plays just as hard. He’s a love ‘em and leave ‘em guy who doesn’t believe in forever until Stephanie walks into Outlaws. She is wild, unpredictable and dangerous as hell, yet, he’s drawn to her. He needs to know the secrets behind her eyes. He can’t walk away.

A sexy, tattooed womanizer, Dominic Delaney’s everything Stephanie wants to avoid. She knows she should stay the hell away from him, but he makes her want to stop running. Sometimes, even the Damaged deserve to fall in love.
