Missing Dixie @CaiseyQuinn is the missing piece!

MissingDixieBanner

Synopsis:

Fighting for redemption . . .

I’ve lived most of my life in darkness, beneath the shadows of secrets and addictions. The last thing I ever wanted to do was hurt the only girl I’d ever loved—the one who brought me into the light. In my entire life I’d made one promise—a promise I’d intended to keep. I’ve broken that promise and now I have to live with the fallout. Dixie Lark hates me, and I have to tell her that I love her. I also have to tell her a truth that might destroy us forever.

Can she love me, even if she can’t forgive me?

Learning to move on . . .

Gavin Garrison broke his promise to my brother and he broke my heart in the process.I may never love anyone the way I’ve loved him, but at least I won’t spend my life wondering “what if.” We had our one night and he walked away. I’m beginning to move on, but my brother’s wedding and a battle of the bands are about to throw us together again.

Our band is getting a second chance, but I don’t know if I can give him one. How do you hand your heart back to the person who set it on fire once already?

Casey’s Thoughts <3<3<3<3<3

Oh how I love Caisey Quinn’s writing style, but this book, I’ve been waiting.  The moment Gavin walked away in Leaving Amarillo my heart hurt.
Missing Dixie is the conclusion to the Neon Dreams Series.  It’s one filled with hope.  The growth of both Dixie and Gavin as individuals is monumental, but within my heart and soul I relate so much to Dixie.   Each and every day I work with individuals that are like Gavin and Liam.  I know how much I want each child to survive and make it in this crazy world.
I literally started Missing Dixie and finished within less than 12 hours.  I grasped at the pages and what was going to occur next.  To see the love between them still there, but yet the unsureness of their relationship played with my heart.  This story will fill you with love, hope, and an ending that makes you smile from ear to ear.  I can’t get enough of this series, and can’t help but wonder what is next for the fabulous Caisey Quinn!

When Dixie finishes, she takes her place across the altar and I can’t tear my stare from her. Her sapphire eyes shine like diamonds with the promise of tears.

I wish I could give you this.

Right as I’m about to look away, her gaze collides with mine. My heart swells in my chest. I have so much to say and no words to say it.

I’m sorry.
I’m trying.
I love you.
She doesn’t even flinch at the turmoil I know is probably apparent on my face. She just gives me a confident smile and a knowing look as if to say, One day.

One day that will be us. A future.
A forever.

I fucking hope so.

I just have no clue how we’ll ever manage to get there.

Oh! How I <3 Dallas! #LovingDallas @CaiseyQuinn

bs-LovingLovingDallasPB_updated

SYNOPSIS:

In the second novel in bestselling author Caisey Quinn’s Neon Dreams series, a country rock band and its members embark on the rocky road to fame and find love along the way.

Dallas Lark is so close to achieving his dream of making it big in country music that he can taste it. Arriving in Nashville after signing with sexy, successful manager Mandy Lantram, his life goes from tragedy and turmoil to one lucky break after another—except it isn’t really luck because Dallas has sacrificed everything for his career, leaving behind his band, sister, best friend, and high school sweetheart, Robyn, in the pursuit of fame.

Robyn Breeland is a successful marketing coordinator and promotions specialist for a thriving liquor distributor out of Texas. She loves every aspect of her job: coming up with new ideas, traveling, hosting promotional parties and exclusive events—until it brings her face-to-face with the man who broke her heart, prompting her to erect a steel cage around it.

When their paths collide and they’re forced to work together, Dallas and Robyn realize that the old spark they thought they’d extinguished might still be a burning flame.

Casey’s Thoughts <3<3<3<3<3

I fell in love with Caisey Quinn’s writing style with Girl with Guitar.  Each and every book she writes draws me in and makes me fall in love with her characters.  Loving Dallas is no exception.

Loving Dallas is the story of Dallas Lark post Leaving Amarillo.  When he decided to go solo to Nashville, I have to say I wasn’t so sure about it, but in life and books everything has a reason.  Little did I know how his past would meet his present.

Loving Dallas will have you cheering Dallas on as he takes the stage like the country music hottie he is, but you will also see the “real” Dallas shine through.

I absolutely loved Jase Wade, and I couldn’t help categorize him with one of my favorite country music stars that kinda broke my heart with his personal issues.  BUT I believe this character and his past impacted Dallas’ future in a good way. In fact, it made me transformed me into the biggest Jase Wade fan.

Loving Dallas is a story of stardom, but also what you leave behind as well as the choices the make about your future.  If you a person with a heart for country music, a cutie shaking it on the stage, but more importantly a girl who believes that dreams do come true then Loving Dallas is for you!

Excerpt

“Tell me what you’ve sacrificed. I want to know,” Dallas says evenly, completely unfazed by my obvious psychotic break. “Because I know a thing or two about sacrifice myself. But I can tell you this much, I would never sacrifice my dignity and I sure as hell didn’t get where I am on my back or by putting anyone else on theirs.”

What the hell?

“Excuse me?”

“Mandy. She’s my manager. Our relationship is strictly professional, and it will stay that way, regardless of what her intentions may or may not be.”

“Okay.” I don’t want to feel relieved. I shouldn’t care. But my tightly wound nerves loosen a fraction.

“Your turn,” he informs me, folding his muscular arms over his broad chest.

“My turn for what?”

“To tell me if you’re fucking Wade! If that’s how you got on this tour, I want you to end it. He’s a grade A piece of shit who doesn’t give a damn who he—”

Dallas doesn’t get to finish his sentence.

Because I slap him. Hard. So hard my hand is still stinging.

Our faces must be matching masks of shock and I see the replay in slow motion. I’ve never struck another human being in my entire life. And I just slapped the only man I’ve ever loved with everything I was worth.

“If you ever, ever, even think to insinuate that I got where I am on my back, I swear to God, Dallas Lark, I will make that seem like a love tap.”

I am so immensely infuriated that everything in my line of sight is tinged in red. But more than that, I’m hurt. Hurt that someone I once cared so much for, and still care about more than I’d like to admit, would think that of me. Stitched-up lacerations on my heart that were on their way to being pretty pink scars are opening wide and angry. He didn’t invite me here for pancakes to catch up or spend time with me or figure out how to work together or even attempt to make amends. Nope. He’s just jealous and arrogant and a raging asshole.

“I didn’t mean to insinuate that—”

“Get the hell away from me.” I whirl around and step right into a fresh puddle. Great. Wonderful.

“No,” Dallas says, pulling me toward him and catching me off guard. “I need you to hear me out.”

“What’s to hear? You’re an arrogant ass and I hate you.”

He gives me an infuriating smirk. “No you don’t. If that were true, you wouldn’t be this pissed.”

I struggle to find a reasonable argument to this so I say, “Fuck you, Dallas.”

“Yes, please. Come back to the hotel with me. The car service is already here.” I yank out of his grasp, causing a painful friction between our skin.

“Ouch.”

He pulls me to his chest and my anger is fading, too diluted by his scent and his intensity.

“I’m sorry, baby. I’m so damn sorry,” is all he says before kissing me brutally on the mouth. Mine pops open in shock when he pulls back to breathe. His gaze presses into mine as my mind tumbles over itself trying to process the abrupt turn of events. His thumb grazes my cheek gently. “I never meant to hurt you,” he says before devouring me again.

And Lord help me, I don’t even know which thing he’s apologizing for—the past or the present—because I’m melting. The rain, his fiery hot mouth, his hands scorching a trail over my body. I’m drowning in Dallas and I can’t stop.

Worse, I don’t even want to.

bs-Leaving
LEAVING AMARILLO cover artLeaving Amarillo synopsis:

Dixie Lark hasn’t had it easy. She lost her parents in an accident when she was young and grew up in a ramshackle house on a dirt road in Amarillo with her ailing grandparents and overprotective older brother. Thanks to her grandfather, Dixie learned to play a mean fiddle, inspired by the sounds of the greats—Johnny and June, Waylon, and Hank. Her grandfather’s fiddle changed Dixie’s life forever, giving her an outlet for the turmoil of her broken heart and inspiring a daring dream.

Ten years later, Dixie and her brother, Dallas, are creating the music they love and chasing fame with their hot band, Leaving Amarillo. But Dixie isn’t enjoying the ride. All she can think about is Gavin, the band’s tattooed, tortured drummer who she’s loved since they were kids. She knows he feels the connection between them, but he refuses see her as more than his best friend’s little sister.

Convinced that one night with Gavin will get him out of her system, Dixie devises a plan. She doesn’t know that her brother has forbidden Gavin from making a move on her-a promise he swore he’d always keep . . . a promise that once broken will unexpectedly change the future for Dixie, Gavin and the band.

Casey’s Thoughts <3<3<3<3<3

Loss, Love, and putting your feelings to the side for the sake of the band.  That is what Dixie has been doing for as long as she can remember. Her brother, Dallas, his childhood friend,Gavin, and Dixie make up the band Leaving Amarillo.  After losing their parents at a young age Dallas and Dixie moved in with their grandparents who loved and cared for them, but Gavin didn’t have that kind of life.

When Austin Music Fest has a cancellation it’s what the band has been looking for.  They pile in the van, and pray that this is a chance to finally make it.  What Dixie doesn’t expect is to final let her feelings for Gavin come to the forefront, but she referees to let it interfere with the band.

After demanding answers from Gavin about why he never touches her at all to making him an offer of one night, their worlds change.   There’s one problem.  Gavin has promised to never touch her, but Dixie has always been more to him.

Just when things are going well and there’s a chance of a record deal, tragedy strikes.  This makes their world stop, but there’s something Gavin’s not telling Dixie.  When she finds out, he’s livid of the danger he’s putting himself in, but it’s all for the sake of the band.

Leaving Amarillo is a story that pulled me in from page one, brought tears to my eyes with the first line of chapter 30, and had me pulling for a HEA.  You will not be disappointed at Caisey Quinn’s newest release; in fact, you’ll be dying for the Loving Dallas.

Running lights on the floor illuminated the interior of the bus just enough to keep her from falling and breaking her neck on her way to the kitchenette. She reached out and felt around for the switch under the cabinets that lit up the area above the sink. She had just flicked it on when Trace’s bedroom door opened.
Her heart stuttered and Kylie froze. If the blonde from the bar was in there with him, Kylie was taking her ass to that Winnebago dressed just as she was.
Taking a few deep breaths to brace herself, she turned. Trace stood in the doorway, his dark shirtless figure making her heart race.
“Couldn’t sleep,” she said softly. He just stared at her, reminding her with his scorching gaze that she was dressed in a thin nightshirt that barely reached her thighs. “No company tonight?” she asked, doing her best to keep her voice light, unaffected.
Trace said nothing as he stalked towards her slowly, the force of his stare backing her against the counter.
“Trace,” she said softly as he came close enough to touch.
Still nothing. Just his eyes burning into hers as his bare chest expanded with each breath. His hair was a mess, like he’d spent all night raking his hands through it, and he was barefoot in jeans. Kylie was pretty sure this was the hottest she’d ever seen him. Heat flooded her body, liquefying the lust between her thighs.
The sensation became so intense it was almost painful. Before she had time to ask him what he was doing, Trace’s strong hands gripped her and lifted her onto the counter. His labored breathing was the only sound she heard as he used those same hands to spread her knees apart. Kylie whimpered when he moved forward to press himself between them.
This was not the Trace Corbin she was used to. This man had pleading eyes and was trembling to the point of vibrating with…want. Or maybe it was need. Kylie wasn’t sure. The muscles holding her rigid relaxed under his warm hands. He trailed them up her thighs, to her hips, finally reaching up and touching her face with gentleness she hadn’t expected him to be capable of. His thumb grazed her bottom lip and it sent a shock straight through her, causing her to arch into him.
When he let his hands fall back to her hips, she reached up and placed her fingers in his hair, using the lush brown locks to pull him closer. His head dropped below hers with a soft moan, and she could feel him breathing her in. She took advantage of the opportunity to do the same. Bourbon, aftershave, and that woodsy scent that was all Trace. No cheap perfume from his friend from earlier. Trace’s soft warm lips brushed against her neck, sending another shiver through her with so much force it would’ve jolted her off the counter had he not been holding her in place. “I’m sorry about what happened in Jackson,” he whispered. “God, I’m so sorry.” His voice was thick and raw and broke something inside of her.
She couldn’t speak so she nodded against him. She’d already forgiven him.
Her mind raced with questions. The most pressing one being, what the hell are we doing? But somehow it didn’t seem important to figure it out right that second. She wanted this, ached for it. She hadn’t even realized how badly until that very moment. Holding him close to her felt right. Safe. As if this was what she had needed all along. This is what would take the pain away.
Trace pulled away, just a few inches, but Kylie moaned her displeasure. She tried to pull him back in, biting her lip when he shook his head. God, those eyes. Take cover, they said, because the storm was here, now. And Kylie wanted nothing more than to hurl herself right into its path.
She didn’t know what he was looking for, but his eyes sought answers in hers that she didn’t have. She didn’t even know what the question was. She just wanted him. Like she had never wanted anything or anyone in her entire life.
Cupping her chin firmly, Trace leaned in and oh, oh she was more than ready for his mouth. But he didn’t kiss her. He pressed his forehead to hers and closed his eyes. “So damn beautiful,” he rasped.
Gripping his hips and pulling him as close as possible, until the only thing keeping them apart was the thin lace of her panties and the denim of his jeans, Kylie let her hand stroke his stubbled cheek. She pulled her legs up to wrap them around his waist and Trace let loose a deep growl that had her throbbing against him. The intimacy of it was like nothing she’d ever experienced, taking her higher than even performing on stage had. Trace Corbin should come with a warning label: highly addictive.

EXCERPT

“God, you’re so f*cking beautiful.”
Her eyes widened up at him. She could only imagine how she looked. Hair messy and damp, his shirt sliding off one shoulder, eyes glazed over.
“You are.” He shook his head as if searching for the words to explain his attraction to her. “That first night, swear to everything holy, I thought you might be some mythical creature come to steal my soul. But you were so damn beautiful that I would have given it to you.”
She kept quiet, afraid to move or speak and risk breaking the magic that kept him with her, kept him from running. He wasn’t running. He was opening up and being honest.
Dean lowered himself into the bed beside her, propping on one elbow and facing her. Fate mirrored his position and admired the way the moonlight lit his handsome face.
“I asked the universe for a sign. It sent me you.”
Her whispered confession made him smile. But his expression turned serious far too soon for her liking. “I felt it the moment I saw you. A compulsion like I’d never felt before, as if some unseen force propelled me toward you without my consent. I’ve felt it ever since.”
Fate rested her head on her hands and nodded against them. “I feel it too. I’m just…a little afraid of it. Of what it might cost us.”
“My mom used to say that things worth having didn’t come easy and that the kind of girl that was worth waiting for wouldn’t wait on anyone. Those two adages keep coming back to me every time I think of you.”
She inched her hand over toward his. “Do you do that often? Think of me?”
Dean kept eye contact, only breathing and watching her. “Define often.”
Fate grinned. “More than once a week.”
The slight curve of his lips faded and his gaze became a heavy, tangible thing she could feel pressing into her.
“I thought of you every day, Fate. And I didn’t even know your name. Even after I did… I think after that, it was more like several times a day.”
She wanted to keep this moment, to keep him here with her just like this. Both of them exposed and vulnerable. It was real and honest and—despite her exhaustion— exhilarating. But she knew it wouldn’t last forever. Nothing ever did.
“Sleep with me tonight. Don’t leave. Just… Just sleep with me, please.”
He nodded, letting his fingers interlace with hers between them and placing a soft kiss on the top of her hand. “I’m not going anywhere. Goodnight, sweetheart.”
“Goodnight, Dean.”

Cover Reveal —-> Falling for Fate by @CaiseyQuinn

The second book in the Second Chance series by Caisey Quinn has a cover!
While the series is made up of standalone novels featuring different couples, it does center around a location: The Second Chance Ranch, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility owned by Trace Corbin and Gretchen Gibson from the Kylie Ryans series. Here’s what Caisey had to say about the series!
Caisey: I really love writing this series because with each new novel I get a new story to build around the ranch. The overlap between characters in each book is a lot of fun for me, even though readers don’t always catch them. It’s almost like a hidden treasure. For instance, Fate’s mom appears briefly in Van’s story (Last Second Chance), but as the books are released approximately 3-4 months apart, not everyone remembers those details. It’s such a treat for me knowing that they’re in there!
Readers have asked if they will see Trace and Kylie in this series and they will! Trace will pop in from time to time and then towards the end of the series they’ll both attend a celebratory dinner at the Ranch.
While Last Second Chance was pretty hot, with tortured soul musician Van Ransom, Falling for Fate is a bit on the sweeter side. Though y’all know me, there will still be plenty of steam! Dean and Fate have a chance encounter and then meet again unexpectedly. While they’re both young professionals, having very different relationship backgrounds and experiences leaves them a bit out of their league when it comes to one another.
I am so in love with this cover because my characters meet on the beach and I asked the designer (Regina Wamba of Mae I Design) to give it an ocean water feel. She did such a wonderful job! I hope y’all like it as much as I do!

BOOK SUMMARY

When Stella Jo Chandler gets an offer to work at the Second Chance Ranch celebrity rehab facility right after graduating from Texas A&M, she’s tempted to turn it down. She wants to help real people with real problems, not spoiled celebrities going on vacation for publicity. But growing up on her family’s ranch left her with a love of horses that draws her to the opportunity. How bad can babysitting a bunch of strung out celebrities be?

What she didn’t count on was being roped into a tangled mess with infamous rocker and three-time rehab drop out Van Ransom on her first day. And she sure didn’t expect to feel the overwhelming attraction that pulls her to the man who has more issues than she can count on both hands. Like the hotel rooms and tour buses he’s famous for trashing, the havoc he could wreak on Stella’s heart would be irreparable.

Van isn’t at Second Chance for publicity or because he’s suffering from “exhaustion”. He’s on the brink of destruction, and he needs the kind of help Stella isn’t sure she can give. But without her, he’ll lose everything. Because he’s on his last second chance.

Stella Jo Chandler seems to have it all on the outside.  She grew up on a horse ranch, loved to ride, and had dreams of bringing home the Triple Crown, but one fall at the Kentucky Showmaster’s Showcase and those dreams were shattered.  She never got back on a horse again, but she still loved them deeply.  Growing up with a harsh, demanding mom who only wanted a real-life doll to dress up and show off, and a dad who never gave her the time of day no matter how hard she strived for perfection to please him, the barn was the only place she felt happy, wanted, and needed.  Now that’s she’s graduating college, her mom wants her to move back home where she belongs, but Stella is offered a job at the Second Chance Ranch, a celebrity rehab facility.  Not sure if that’s what she wants, but positive she doesn’t ever want to go back home, her decision is made when she bumps into a beautiful stranger during a tour of the facility.

Van Ransom is the gorgeous, mesmerizing, tatted-up lead singer of the band Hostage for Ransom.  After waking up in a hospital (again) after nearly OD’ing (again), his manager and his label have had enough, so he’s given an ultimatum – either he successfully completes 90 days in rehab and gets his stuff together, or he loses the record deal, his manager, and his band.  He’s tried the rehab thing again and again, but this is his last second chance.  He’s not happy with the choices he’s given, after all, the drugs and alcohol are the only things that drown out the voices and dreams that torture him constantly, but if he gets to see the beautiful girl he bumped into while checking in, maybe it won’t be so bad.  She tries to deny him, but Van Ransom wants her, and he always gets what he wants.

Neither can stop thinking about the other.  For the first time, Stella makes Van actually want to be a better person, someone worthy of her, and he actually cares about how she feels, unlike all the other women, the ones who he’s only with for a release of the sexual kind.  Stella knows Van is dangerous and a cocky womanizer, but she can’t help but want to help him, to fix him.  She tries to keep everything professional – a relationship with a patient is grounds for immediate termination – but with the feelings he makes her feel, that is becoming impossible.

Van knew he was broken – from the hellish childhood he had, the dark secrets he carries deep inside, and the drug addiction he can’t quit.  Stella is broken in her own way – she’s empty inside, she feels nothing.  Stella wants to fix Van, to unlock what is buried deep, but will she fail him like she has everyone else?  Van is the only one that has been able to make Stella feel anything, and she desperately needs to him to bring out that side of her, but will he ruin her like he has so much else in life?  Together, can they heal each other without ruining their own lives in the process?

Last Second Chance is a story about healing, living life, forbidden love, and finding light in the darkness, and I absolutely LOVE everything single thing about this story.  Van Ransom can hold me hostage anytime 😉 There is just something about a beautifully broken man that draws me in, makes me want to fix him and make him whole.  Caisey Quinn is one of those authors that I will read everything new put out, no questions asked.  She has the ability to bring out your emotions and make you feel everything the characters are feeling, and Last Second Chance is no exception.  Do yourself a favor, 1-click it now!

SYNOPSIS

EXCERPT

Van
stood at the edge of her bed and stared down at her. He had to clench his hands
at his side to keep himself steady.
Fuck,
she was beautiful. She was more than beautiful. She was a goddess. She was
something no one had created a word for yet. Because no other such creature had
existed.
“Lose
the blanket, Stella Jo.” His gravelly voice filled the small room.
She
nodded, licked her lips, and slid the white comforter down. His eyes narrowed
when he saw that she’d left her bra and underwear on.
“I said
naked, cowgirl. But you know that, don’t you?”
“I was…”
She paused to take a deep breath. “I thought I had more time.”
Setting
the rope and riding crop on the bedside table, Van crossed his arms. “You have
all the time in the world. Go ahead. I’ll wait.”
Her emerald
eyes widened, meeting his with an ‘are you serious’ stare. He nodded once at her unspoken question.

She stood on shaking legs, and he resisted the urge to let her off the hook. She was nervous. She should be. He was going to do things to her that would wreck her—things she wouldn’t be able to forget for as long as she lived.  He planned to make damn sure of it.
