Damaged

Title- Damaged

Series- Outlaws Series # 1

By- Nina D’Angelo

Expected Publication Date- February 28th, 2014

Blurb

Before Stephanie Carovella had nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, she was damaged.

Stephanie Carovella has been running from her past all her life. The survivor of a brutal attack which left her best friend dead, she has carefully built a protective wall around herself, but she knows sooner or later her past is going to catch up with her.

It’s why she doesn’t want to fall in love. It’s why she doesn’t want to let anyone get too close.

Dominic Delaney works hard and plays just as hard. He’s a love ‘em and leave ‘em guy who doesn’t believe in forever until Stephanie walks into Outlaws. She is wild, unpredictable and dangerous as hell, yet, he’s drawn to her.

He needs to know the secrets behind her eyes. He can’t walk away.

A sexy, tattooed womanizer, Dominic Delaney’s everything Stephanie wants to avoid. She knows she should stay the hell away from him, but he makes her want to stop running.

Casey’s Thoughts <3<3<3<3<3

I have loved Stephanie Corvella’s character since the moment I read Nowhere to Run.  It was a heart pounding, adrenaline producing, suspenseful novel with just a hint of a love aspect.  Nowhere to Hide was was the same, but Damaged… oh, my, my!  I feel in love with Dominic Delaney because to be honest, I just wasn’t so sure of him until this book.

Before there was talk of Dominic and their relationship, but now I totally get why he was the love of Stephanie’s life.

In Damaged, we learn about what things were like when Stephanie and Dominic met.  He ran a bar called Outlaws, and Stephanie would come in a late at night.  Finally, deciding to make a move on”Hurricane” Stephanie as she is called, an attraction is created that goes to the soul.

Stephanie has a haunting past and has never bared it all to anyone, not even her boyfriend, Ben.  Ben has been there for her, but doesn’t truly understand the life that Stephanie has been a victim too… that all changes when she falls for Dominic.  She’s an open book, and this has never happened in her life.

Damaged is a book that will open your eyes into the past of Stephanie and Dominic, but will leave you wanting more.  There is one major twist and a major complication within their relationship.  When I finally put the pieces together, I was like OMG!  No wonder he was like he was in the other two books!  I’ll leave you guess on which character I’m referring to.

Damaged is a fabulous novel with love, heartbreak, friendships, mystery, and a look into Stephanie and Dominic’s past.

**On a side note, every time I hear Dustin Lynch’s “Hurricane” all I can see is Stephanie Corvella**

~My recommendation is this… if you haven’t ready Nowhere to Run and Nowhere to Hide, start there because you will understand how much all the characters really are intertwined once you begin to read Damaged.~

Here’s to 1 year blogging & the Top 20 of 2013 @HDcoverTherapy

Wowza!  Is about the only words to express how I feel!  This year has been ah-maz-ing!  Who ever thought a little ole country girl from NC would start a blog, fall in love with it, host tours for amazing authors, write her own debut novel, and feel like she’s on top of the world?  (Well not really, but I do like to think so!)

I do know that I wouldn’t have survived this year without Chelly, my cousin.  She loves to read as much as I do!  (Yeah, our hubby’s never thought they would marry book nerds!  But they did!)  She has handled the reviews while I was trying to finish No Turning Back & Finding Charley.  We tackled Book Bask and NASW together, and I can’t wait to see where we go next!  There aren’t words to thank her enough!  She totally gets me and my book addiction!

I never imagined one year ago how one post could change my life!  IT DID!  Here’s to you- Rebecca, Jennifer Roberts-Hall, Tiffany King, Casiey Quinn, Shantel Tessier, & Aleatha Romig!  Y’all changed my life!  So, here’s to another year of blogging, writing, and anything released to books we <3!

To celebrate our one year blogging, here’s a giveaway hosted by Author Casey Peeler!  Over 20 books both digital and signed!

Nowhere to Hide:

Stephanie Carovella has had a rough year. She came back to Los Angeles to face her past and nearly lost her future to a serial killer.
Now she has a chance to start a new life with a new man.
But is that what she wants? While she battles Jase Devlin, the man who won’t stop until they are together, she gains the attention of another serial killer.
This time it’s the copycat killer; one who will stop at nothing to possess her.
Can she survive the madness of another killer? Will she give in to Jase Devlin’s advances? And will she see the real threat before it’s too late?
Or will Stephanie Carovella discover she has Nowhere To Hide?

My Thoughts ❤

I have been anticipating the release of Nowhere to Hide from the moment I finished Nowhere to Run.  Typically, you can find me reading anything YA or NA, Romance, Paranormal, but I do love a book that has suspense, mystery, heart, twists & turns, characters with depth, and this series is it for me!

I happened to stumble upon Nowhere to Run early on in my blogging career… sounded good and I was up for anything!  What I didn’t know the effect it would have on me while reading…. completely thought my heart was going to beat right outta my chest!  Needless to say, I have been waiting on this book, and when I started to read… I wasn’t let down.

Of course, Stephanie Carolvella has herself surrounded by death, but I honestly think that if she wasn’t… her life wouldn’t be “normal.”  I’ve been trying to put Stephanie into words.  The only thing I can come up with is an egg.  I know, sounds crazy!  She is hard on the outside, but somewhere down deep there is a person that is full of emotion that never shows except in small glances.  There is one very big difference between Stephanie and an egg…. Stephanie won’t CRACK!  That’s for damn sure!

The characters within this book are real.  You will feel as if you are friends with Stephanie, Gena, Jase, Jake, Jesse, and Ben.  You will feel every emotion that occurs in this book:  fear, suspense, mystery, the unknown, anxiety, trust, sadness, hurt, pain, and understanding.  I will say that by the end I was in tears about Jase Devlin.  I just ❤ him!  I thought he can’t be an ass… he just can’t be!

There is romance within this story, and I believe that helps bring this another element that makes it real… the other elements of murder, serial killers, and suspense make this book an edge of the seat kinda read.

Throughout the entire book, I had ideas of the Jesus Christ Killer and the Copycat, but even if you think you have them figured out… more than likely you will be caught off guard by a twist that will leave you speechless.  What leaves you speechless will leave you wanting more and waiting on the edge of your seat for the next chapters that involved Stephanie Carovella, murders, mystery, suspense, and love.

So if you want a read that will have you gripping the edge of you Kindle, and almost in tears because the events within the story are so real… 1-click Nowhere to Hide like YESTERDAY!!!!!
